Administrative Assistant [supported by the Retired Athletes Transformation Programme (Phase II)]

Job Duties

-Undertake administrative and clerical duties
-Assist the organization of competitions, courses, seminars and booking of venue
-Liaise with handball clubs and / or teams and handle general enquiries
-Arrange competition fixtures and provide administrative support at competition venues
-Maintain proper filing
-Provide secretarial support to Sports Executives

Qualifications Requirements
-Grade E / Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English (Syllabus B), Chinese and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination; or Level 2 or above in five subjects including English, Chinese and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent. 

Remarks: Grade C in English Language (Syllabus A) is recognized as equivalent to Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B)

-Irregular working hours required
-Completion of specified training courses in sports management an advantage
-Computer literacy with knowledge of Accounting software, MS Office, FrontPage, Chinese input, Email and internet management an advantage

Retired athletes wish to enrol in the programme have to fulfill with the following qualifications*

Retirement not exceeding 5 years at the time of first application under the Programme


Upon retirement, athletes with –

(i)  At least 4 years of full-time sport specific training (i.e. minimum of 5 days and 25 hours of supervised training per week); or
(ii)  At least 6 years of part-time sport specific training (i.e. minimum of 4 days and 15 hours of supervised training per week)


Represented Hong Kong in international senior events** or in the senior events of National Games/Championships –
(i)     At least twice during full-time sport specific training; or
(ii)    At least thrice during part-time sport specific training


*   Subject to verification by the relevant NSAs
** Olympic Games, Asian Games, World / Asian Championships, World University Games /Championships, East Asian Games, Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, World/Asian Cup Series
